A Complete Breakdown of Binance Fees

· About 5 min

Trading on Binance comes with fees — that's unavoidable. But understanding how each fee works is the first step to reducing them. Here's a clear breakdown of all the major fees on Binance.

Spot Trading Fees

Spot trading is the most commonly used feature, with a default fee rate of 0.1% (charged on both buys and sells). For example, if you spend 1,000 USDT to buy BTC, you'll pay 1 USDT in fees. Selling works the same way — 0.1% of the trade amount.

This rate is on the lower end among major exchanges, and you can reduce it even further through BNB fee deductions, VIP tiers, and other methods.

Futures Trading Fees

The default rates for USDT-margined futures are: Maker 0.02%, Taker 0.05%. For coin-margined futures: Maker 0.01%, Taker 0.05%. Since futures trading involves leverage, the actual trade size is much larger than your margin, so the fees in absolute terms can be higher than you'd expect.

For example, if you open a 10x long position on BTC with 100 USDT, your actual position is worth 1,000 USDT. At the Taker rate, that's 0.5 USDT — and since you pay fees both when opening and closing, the total comes to 1 USDT.

Withdrawal Fees

Withdrawing crypto from Binance to an external wallet or another exchange requires a withdrawal fee. The cost varies significantly depending on the coin and the network you choose:

  • BTC (Bitcoin network): ~0.0002 BTC
  • ETH (Ethereum network): ~0.00028 ETH
  • USDT (TRC-20): ~1 USDT
  • USDT (BEP-20): ~0.29 USDT

Choosing a low-fee network can save you a lot, especially if you transfer frequently.

Deposit Fees

Good news — Binance charges zero fees for deposits. Whether you're depositing BTC, ETH, or USDT, as long as the on-chain transfer reaches your Binance address, Binance won't charge you anything extra. Just keep in mind that the sending platform or wallet may charge its own withdrawal fee — that's outside Binance's control.

How to Check Your Current Fee Rate

After logging into Binance, click your profile icon in the top right corner and go to "Fees" or "Fee Schedule" to see all the fee rates for your current VIP level. You can also get an extra fee discount by using a referral code when you sign up for Binance, lowering your trading costs from day one.
