Reset Your Password via Email
On the Binance login page, click the "Forgot Password" link. Enter the email address you used to register, and after submitting, Binance will send a password reset email to your inbox. Open the email, click the reset link inside (make sure to verify the anti-phishing code is correct), and you'll be taken to the new password page. The new password must be at least 8 characters and include uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers. We recommend using 12 or more characters with special symbols for added security.
The reset link is usually valid for only 30 minutes — after that, you'll need to request a new one. If you can't find the email, check your spam folder.
You May Need Identity Verification
If your account has multi-factor security enabled, the system will require additional identity verification during the password reset. This might include entering an SMS verification code, a Google Authenticator code, or completing facial recognition. These steps ensure that it's really you performing the reset, not someone trying to hijack your account through the "Forgot Password" feature.
24-Hour Withdrawal Restriction After Reset
Here's an important security rule: for 24 hours after a successful password reset, your account will be unable to make any withdrawals. This is designed to protect you. If someone gained access to your email and used it to reset your password, the 24-hour withdrawal lock gives you enough time to notice and freeze your account before any funds are transferred out.
During these 24 hours, you can still log in, view your assets, and trade normally — you just can't withdraw.
Password Management Tips
Don't rely on memory alone to keep track of passwords. Use a password manager to generate and store passwords — tools like 1Password or Bitwarden can create unique, high-strength random passwords for each site. Your Binance password should never be the same as your email password, and it shouldn't be reused on any other platform. Changing your password proactively every 3–6 months is a good habit.
If you don't have an account yet, you can sign up for Binance and set a strong password right away, then save it in your password manager immediately.
