Many first-time users open the Binance App and find the interface in English, unsure of where to switch the language. Binance actually supports over a dozen languages, and switching to Chinese takes just a few steps.
How to Switch Languages in the App
Open the Binance App and follow these steps:
- Tap the profile icon in the top-left corner (or the "More" menu at the bottom)
- Find the "Language" option (if the current language is English, it will be displayed in English)
- Select "Simplified Chinese" or "Traditional Chinese" from the language list
- Confirm, and the app will automatically refresh the interface — all menus and text will switch to Chinese
The switch doesn't require restarting the app — it takes effect almost immediately. If some pages still show English after switching, manually close the app and reopen it.
What's the Difference Between Simplified and Traditional Chinese
Functionally, they're exactly the same — only the text display differs. Mainland China users should choose Simplified Chinese, while Hong Kong and Taiwan users should choose Traditional Chinese. Binance has localized both Chinese versions, and while some terminology translations may have slight differences, they won't affect your understanding or usage.
How to Switch on the Web Platform
On the Binance web platform, there's usually a globe icon or language selector button in the top-right corner or at the bottom of the page — click it to select Simplified Chinese. If you can't find it, you can add a language parameter to the URL, or change the default language in your personal settings after logging in.
Switching Languages Doesn't Affect Your Account
Language is purely a display setting — switching languages won't change your account region, KYC status, trading pairs, or assets. You can switch between Chinese and English at any time with no restrictions.
If you're a new user who just downloaded the Binance App, we recommend switching to Chinese first before registering and verifying your identity, to avoid filling in information incorrectly due to language unfamiliarity. If you don't have an account yet, signing up through a referral link gets you a trading fee discount.
