What the Whitelist Does for You
The withdrawal whitelist is an extremely effective security measure. Once enabled, you can only withdraw assets to wallet addresses that have been pre-approved on your whitelist. Even if someone gains access to your account password and 2FA code, any attempt to transfer funds to an unauthorized address will be blocked by the system.
For long-term holders who don't withdraw frequently, this feature is practically a must.
How to Enable the Withdrawal Whitelist
Log into Binance, go to the "Security Center," find the "Withdrawal Whitelist" option, and toggle it on. The system will ask you to complete email verification and 2FA verification to confirm it's really you. Once enabled, your previously saved withdrawal addresses won't automatically become whitelisted — you'll need to add them manually.
How to Add Whitelist Addresses
Go to the "Withdraw" page, select the coin and network, then click "Address Management" next to the address field. Click "Add Address," enter your wallet address and a label (e.g., "My Trust Wallet"), select the corresponding network (make sure you pick the right one — ERC20 and TRC20 are not interchangeable), then save. New addresses require email confirmation after being added.
24-Hour Security Waiting Period
This is the whitelist's most important security mechanism: after adding a new whitelisted address, you must wait 24 hours before you can withdraw to it. The purpose of this waiting period is that if a hacker gains control of your account and tries to add a new address, you have a full 24 hours to notice the suspicious activity and freeze your account. You'll receive an email notification whenever a new address is added — if it wasn't you, disable your account immediately.
Everyday Tips
Add your commonly used withdrawal addresses (such as your cold wallet or another exchange address) in advance, so you can simply select them when you need to withdraw. We recommend keeping the whitelist enabled at all times — don't toggle it on and off frequently. If you just signed up for Binance, enable the whitelist as soon as you finish setting up your basic security.
