How to Fix Binance App Crashes

· About 5 min

The Binance App suddenly crashing mid-use, or crashing right upon opening, isn't common but it does happen. Most crashes are caused by issues on the phone side, and following the troubleshooting steps below will usually resolve them.

Clear the App Cache

This is the simplest and most effective first step. Excessive or corrupted cache data can cause the app to malfunction.

  • Android: Settings → App Management → Find Binance → Storage → Clear Cache
  • iOS: There's no direct cache-clearing option. Go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Find Binance → "Offload App" (keeps data), then reinstall

Clearing the cache won't delete your account information — just log back in.

Check Your Phone's Storage Space

When your phone is running low on storage, apps can become unstable or crash outright. Check your remaining storage space — if it's below 1 GB, we recommend clearing out unused photos, videos, or apps to free up space, then try again.

Verify System Version Compatibility

The Binance App has minimum OS requirements. Currently, Android requires 6.0 or above, and iOS requires 13.0 or above. If your phone's system is too old, it may cause incompatibility issues. Go to Settings → About Phone to check your system version, and upgrade if it's too low.

Uninstall and Reinstall

If none of the above works, the most straightforward solution is to uninstall the Binance App and reinstall it. Android users can download the latest Binance App, and iPhone users can switch to a foreign Apple ID and download the latest version from the App Store.

Before reinstalling, make sure you remember your Binance account credentials and your 2FA method. Reinstalling and logging back in won't affect your assets or trading history.

Network Issues Can Also Cause Crashes

Some crashes are actually caused by the app failing to connect to the server on startup. If you're in mainland China, try switching networks (WiFi to cellular data or vice versa), or check whether your network settings need adjusting. Network-related crashes typically manifest as the loading screen freezing for a few seconds before the app exits.

Android: direct APK install. iOS: requires overseas Apple ID
